Name? Tammy Dankowski.

I received a court conviction for assault when I protected a teenage boy from being assaulted by a man. The judge told me my conviction would be Expunged after six months, but my lawyer said this is something I have to apply for. Is this really something I will need to file for? Or does the courts do this?
