Someone I know was arrested a few months ago for false kidnapping charge from his ex-girlfriend. See, she went to put a restraining order against him and the cops had written down kidnapping charges and she signed the papers without reading them. She dropped the restraining order but the state picked up the kidnapping charges. He didn't kidnap her. He said that he was driving and he seen her standing outside her job. She called him back. He went back to see what she wanted. She had gone into her job so he went in to get her. She told her boss that she would be back in a little while(lunch). She suggested that they go for a ride. So they did. She started crying and asking why he broke up with her. At one point she tried jumping out of the car while he was driving but he stopped her by grabbing onto the belt hook on her jeans. He made her put on her seatbelt. Then when they got stopped at a red light she got out of the car and ran into this mechanic place. He went in after her. She told the mechanic to call the cops. He said don't do that because he didn't do nothing to her. He told her to call them if he was to look at her again. The mechanic just told him to leave. So he did. That night the cops called him on his cell phone and asked him where he was becasue they had a restraining order for him. So he told them where to meet him and then they arrested him for kidnapping. Right now he is out on bail. His bail was posted through a bailbond agency. Will that money be returned to the person when this trial is over? If this case goes to trial, which it's suppose to in a few weeks, he's looking at a minimum of 15 years in jail(for something he didn't do). I want to know what can happen to the girl if she was to come forward and state that she lied? She has never been in trouble before. Or is there something else that can be done to help him out?
