What is the name of your state? maryland
i was terminated from a job and have been charged for theft and am innocent i want to take a polygragh test to prove my innocence but am scared because of looking at the internet and all of the false readings that is has givin. what should i do ?

If you have been criminally charged with theft, then you need to be talking to a criminal lawyer - not blindly offering to take a polygraph test. You need legal representation before deciding whether or not you should do this.
