Is it legal for a convicted felon to possess a bow and arrow and a muzzleloader gun in west virginia and/or virginia?What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
 


18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Section 921 defines a firearm as The term "firearm" means (A) any weapon (including a starter gun) which will or is designed to or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; (B) the frame or receiver of any such weapon; (C) any firearm muffler or firearm silencer; or (D) any destructive device. Such term does not include an antique firearm.

Bow and Arrow- Yes
Muzzle Loader- No

Well there is some gray area as to whether the muzzleloader is an antique firearm. Some districts have decisions that say if it is a replica an old one it fits the definition. Others say that if it is functional, then it's not part of the exemption.
