What is the name of your state? Florida
Convicted felons are required to register
with the sheriff of Florida counties within
48 hours of establishing a new domicile
within the respective counties. There
are certain exceptions such as a person
on probation or parole, not an absconder, is exempt if currently under
supervison of department of corrections.
I am not speaking of only sex offenders
specifically, but all classes of convicted
felons, ie. grand theft motor vehicle,
armed robbery, manslaughter, forgery,
etc. My question is in which other states
must a convicted felon register with
local authorities?
