Felony Charge

In 1997 I got charge with a felony schedule 1, 2, or 3 controlled substance. I live in North Carolina is my state. My question is can I get this off of my record. I have not been in any trouble since then? I do have like some small misdermenors on my records, but that was before 1997. Any help would be great appreciated.

What matters is not where you live but where the conviction was received, but assuming that was also North Carolina, you're out of luck. You get one MISDEMEANOR expungement in your lifetime. You're not eligible at all.
