I am unemployed and still have financial obligations in superior court. I was told there was a law called "The Poor Law" that stated you can not be jailed if you are unable to pay your fines. I am going to court on Oct. 18,2000 after speaking with an employee in the prosecuting attorney office they stated I will have to pay the past due amount in full on the day I go to court, or I will have to go back to jail and serve my remaining time at the time of sentencing. Is there such a law??
