we found a wallet that had been stolen about a month ago. it was in a toilet that had been used several times. the wallet finally came back up. is there anyway we could get fingerprints off this leather wallet?
It is very difficult to get fingerprints off of permeable fabrics, such as leather. After going through a rinse cycle many times, it is probably impossible. Also, depending on the amount stolen, the police probably would not even attempt to obtain fingerprints. Fingerprinting is generally reserved for the more serious crimes, a stolen wallet would hardly be considered a serious crime.
