What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? LA
My friend and her husband were charged with this yesterday morning. She only has her cell phone and is not able to complete the registration for this forum so I am asking for her.
Almost 2 years ago, Feb. 4 would have been 2 years, her mother whom she has had multiple issues with called and reported her for Fraud after a fight the 2 of them had. (her mom is also a repeat CPS caller and all claims have been unfounded and closed)
At the time friend applied for FS she and her hubby WERE separated. She moved in with a friend and applied for and received food stamps. At the time she had 3 Children, She CHANGED the oldest ones school, but never changed the address on her Drivers License, as it was only a temporary stay with her friend, while she contemplated what to do.
Within 4 months of her and hubby separating, they worked it out, and reconciled. The day she moved back in with hubby she went to the FS office and closed her case, and tore up her card. Never used it again, there is still over $1200 on the card.
She is planning on hiring an attorney, however her first Appt is 2 weeks away, and she is worried like crazy about what could POSSIBLY happen.
She can read the forums, she just cant register as a member.
if anyone has any ideas of what COULD happen she would be grateful
