What is the name of your state? MA

I'm curious about laws regarding court-ordered stays in psychiatric institutions, as well as in prison.

Can persons involuntarily committed be forced against their will to take medication? Does this change at all if the person commited him/herself voluntarily?

Do persons in prison have the right to refuse medication?

Thanks,

blazon

You might try contacting the Citizens Commission on Human Rights in Los Angeles. That organization has been protecting people from psychiatric abuses for 30 years. Many state laws such as the new one in Texas that prevents teachers from recommmending psychiatric drugs were initiated by that group.
