Recently my car was stolen and crashed. The Police took to children into custody. I have been notified of an Intake Hearing coming up. What should I do? Should I have an attorney present? Can I recoupe any of the money I had to spend to payoff my car or buy a new car or the time I missed at work? Thank you very much.

I don't quite understand. You are the victim, correct? Why would you need an attorney present at the hearing?

If you are looking for restitution, you could speak with the prosecutor. You could also file a civil suit, in which case you would most likely need to speak with an attorney.
