my daughter left her hand-held PC in the girls locker room (valued at $215). a 11th grader was seen taking it on a friday. she never contacted my daughter that she had it. on monday, my daughter kept asking around about it and someone told her who had it. it took 3 days before the 11th grader admitted that she had taken it. but she now claims that it is lost in her home and that has been over 3 weeks ago. can i file a police report or take this to small claims court? thanks for help.
