I live in a small town in Georgia, which unfortunately is in the midst of a big controversy.

As with most controversies, there are two major sides. Curiously enough members who have voiced opinions in opposition to the now former administration have had to deal with a barrage of un-warranted accusations, such as:

The health department called in, in an attempt to shut down a community based fund-raising dinner. (President of this fund-raising organization happens to be one of the people questioning the now previous administration) (Baseless accusation, no action taken)

Child welfare/Social services was called with baseless accusations of child neglect. (Baseless accusation, no action taken)

The fire marshall was called in to investigate a small fire pit...he was told that residents were having "bon fires". (Baseless accusation, no action taken)

An employer was anonymously sent a package along with a letter accusing one of their employees of using work materials for personal projects. This employee also was in opposition to the now former administration. (Baseless accusation, no action taken...as of this date)

...these are just a few of the things.

Is there anything at all that can be done about this? We all pretty much know who is behind it, and often have documentation of who has made the baseless accusations, but it seems like they just keep on coming...with no way to put a stop to this nonsense.

This person has publicly stated that they are not ready to stop with all of this....are all of the people who hold different views than this person just sitting ducks?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Dana

i would think that if you have proof of who's doing it you could publish thier names in a newsletter or paper along with any extra costs from the budget to investigate the accusations, wasted manpower etc.in order to pressure them to change their tactics and maybe even swing some votes your way at the same time
