What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? WI
A 28yr old was friends with a 3wks from turning 18 yr old girl. They innocently shared 1 kiss, that was completely accidental. The mother found out, and said they could stay friends. It stayed just that. They also worked together. A big group of people from work went to the fair, and the 17 yr old happened to be there. they all walked around together, and hung out. Someone that was jealous, cause they had a crush on the 28 yr old, tried to start trouble and tell people they were making out at fair. Work did full investigation, got statements from everyone there, and found her not having done anything wrong. The 17yr old quit to save any future problems. The mother heard this rumor, and said she believed that it wasn't true, but had to deal with the humility that people thought her daughter was kissing a girl. She turned on the 28yr old and threatened her. Told her she needed to transfer with her job, quit, whatever, but needed to move away, and never speak to her daughter again. The mother left for Hawaii, and told her she better have transfer info for her when she got back or she would call the police, and take her down. The 28yr old did as the mother asked, by not talking to her daughter anymore, and talked to her boss. Her boss, and many others reassure her she did nothing wrong, and can't get into trouble. The girl is now 18. Can she get into trouble? Is what happened illegal? The law says illegal if commiting a sexual act. Does kissing fall under that category? The law is difficult to interpret. Some say can't get in trouble, some say can. Who is right?

It's hard to follow your rambling but if all they did is kiss, it was consensual, and both were over 17, and one was not in a position of responsibility over the other, what crime has been committed?
