**** U.S. LAW ONLY - PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR STATE BECAUSE LAWS VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.****

Also, give us more background info. Also, your age(s) when this happened, and your current age.

My response:

According to Texas law, you're too late - - your Statute of Limitations has expired. I'm sorry, but there's nothing you can do at this point because you had to have taken steps in court to do something about this within 10 years of the age of majority - - which is 18 years of age. You had up to age 28 to file for damages.

The Texas Supreme Court adopted a case-by-case discovery rule in S.V. v. R.V., 933 S.W.2d 1 (Tex. 1996). The discovery rule delays accrual of a cause of action until the plaintiff discovers, or through the exercise of reasonable care and diligence should have discovered, the nature of the injury.

My response:

Okay, let me repeat - - - there's nothing you can do. Your time is up, and has been for many years. That means, you can't file a Civil lawsuit against him and win. Your lawsuit will be "thrown out of court."

You're too late.

If you say anything out of court that you can't prove, you could be sued for libel or slander. I wish you knew you only had 10 years, also.
