While on probation,I was arrested on 4/01/99
for a DUI.On 4/6/99 I went to misdemeanor
court, and the prosecutor asked for 72 hours to file formal felony charges. On 4/9/99 all
charges were dismissed in misd. court. I was not released from jail, and on 4/10/99, I was
read a warrent for a probation violation with
no bond. I continued to be held untill 6/15/99 whereupon I was read a warrent for a
felony DUI. My question is was it legal to
hold me in jail from 4/9 to 6/15 on a probation violation without any formal charges filed against me. Thanks for any advice on this.
