Alright I'll start off what I want answered or if anyone could give me advice.
This story is has some adult language and describes adult situations, please read only if you are of the adult age. I hope you read this story with utter consideration of both male and female involved. Thank you!
I'm a 23 year old male. About 2 months ago my friends and I, including other girl-friends of ours, went out to a club to go dancing. Before, we head out we started drinking at our house and began having a good time before the club. Everyone was having a good time including myself. There were two cars that head over to the club, both with sober drivers. The girls car, who were all girls and our car full of guys. Now here comes where the story begins. Keep in mind, everyone is of legal age.
One of the girls that was with us, let’s call her, Mary, was already very intoxicated before we walked into the club. Everyone in our group noticed this and knew we had to keep an eye out on her. All of us then began dancing and began to sober up, except our friend Mary. As we were dancing, Mary kept approaching me and was trying to kiss me all night long. I would always back away because I knew she was one of our friends. As the night continued, I kept going to the bar to get more drinks with my other guy friends. After a long night of drinking we head home, of course we had a sober driver, who only had a beer that night, let’s call him, Joe.
When we reached our home, the girl’s car and the guys' car came over to my friend’s house, including intoxicated Mary. So, Mary, myself, and a couple of other friends continue drinking some left over alcohol, it was still early and did not want the night to end. As Mary and I were drinking, she continued to try to kiss me and I would back off. Well, about 30 minutes later, I’m sitting on the counter of my friend’s kitchen and ready to pass out until someone says if I want to go get something to eat. I immediately get up and say, "I do." So my friend Joe and I go to our local 24hour fast food restaurant. Mary decides to come along and sits in the back seat of Joe's car and I'm in the passenger seat. She continues to try and kiss me until I finally give in and give her a kiss, keep in mind, now I'm more intoxicated than I was before. Now we head home and this is where things start getting fuzzy.
I remember eating and sharing my food with everyone. The next thing I know, I'm in the living room with Mary. She's on the living room floor, with her shirt, bra, underwear, and pants off, completely naked on the living room floor. And I'm doing things to her with my fingers. This was all. We were both completely intoxicated. If you do not know what I'm talking about, ask a friend. The incident comes in and out of memory but I remember bits and pieces of it. Now, after about 20 seconds of this, I realize that this is wrong and I try to leave. She completely wraps her legs around my back and does not let me go, until I force my way out. On my way up, I realize my friend Joe is sitting in the recliner right behind me and is laughing his ass off. Now, I go to the restroom and stay in there for a while to keep away from her. When I come out, all of the girls (her friends) are in the living room with Mary getting her dressed and talking to her. They get all of their things and leave.
Now, that’s the peak, now this is what happens the next day. Now, I'm feeling like crap all day long because of what happened because of alcohol and now she is now spreading rumors with all of my friends and, my friend’s parent’s friends, and the rumors continue to grow. Well, what Mary was telling everyone was that I took advantage of her. Now, this is the part where I need help with. Does she have a legal case against me, just in case? She never said ‘no’ or ‘stop.’ But, she continues to say that, I was the one who took her pants off, which I did not. She also states that she did not have her shirt off, but she did. The thing I know was she never said 'no' or 'stop.' Now, my sober friend, Joe who was on the recliner told me and my other friends what really happened. He was sober at the time and confirms that she was naked, and that I did not take her pants off or her shirt. He also confirms that I tried to get up and she would not let me. He was there the whole time and is a complete witness. What he did say it was longer than 20 seconds.
Now, two months have passed (present day, today). All of my friends who were Mary's friends do not speak with me and my friends. Now, we have not spoken to Mary ever since. I tried calling her and explaining to her what happened the night before and apologized and that was it. Anyways, being what small the world is, Mary works out at the same gym as I do. We see each other once and a while and make eye contact but that’s it. I never speak with her or make rude gestures; I just go on with my everyday work out. I keep hearing from my employee friends at the gym that she is talking about the incident to them and other employees and to stay away from me.
Now, tonight, her father comes up to me and my other friend and starts harassing us and saying that we've been spreading rumors. Which is completely bogus, we have not spoken to Mary nor, spread rumors about her. Then he says that if he hears anything else, he's going to the courts and is going to take things into his own hands, physically. He continues yelling at us in the lobby of our gym. I tell him that I have not spoken to Mary for 2 months now.
Well, this is what I'm concerned about; does mary and her father have a legal case against me? He's obviously not going to listen to me, he's her father. Also, he does not know the complete truth of my side of the story. Neither does all of her girl friends.
Does anyone have any advice or comments about this situation? I know time has passed and I have forgotten about the incident. But, her father coming up to me has got me a little concerned. Obviously she still is angry about the situation, and I feel bad.
I have never gotten into trouble. I'm a good guy and feel very bad of what has happened. Any suggestions comments will help.
Thank you so much for reading my story.
