Question: Juvenile was sentenced to 30 days in juvenile detention for a probation violation of being with another kid on probation while at school during lunch time in the parking lot. plead guilty. Judge sent juvenile to juvenile detention 30 days starting yesterday. Cost of juvenile detention is $170.00 per day, which is the juveniles responsibility, juvenile is 16y.o. then the parents. Guess who gets the bill. Legallly what recourse would a parent have to throw this back at the state? During the sentencing and conviction juveniles attorney said that he wasn't prepared for aggravation that juvenile probation office explained this juvenile has been doing while on probation. After this juvenile gets out of the pokey, she will be off juvenile probation per the great and mighty judge?
