I have a question. What if I go to a store and buy something. The cashier accidently gives me more in change. I only realize it after a few minutes that she has given me more change back. I decide to just keep the money. Have I committed larceny??

Please help. Any sources or links will be appreciated!

If you want to be a lawyer, you have to do your own homework.
I thought it sounded like a test question.

Sounds like he has to make an argument one way or the other and support his conclusions.

In my case, I would just write it up and send it to the DA and let HIM decide. :)

Of course, in reality, the odds of anyone finding out would be nil. When that has happened to me I have brought the money back (gotta be an example for the kidlets, ya know).
