What is the name of your state? California

When I sold a car, I told the buyer if he needed any more signatures, to just sign my name. He said that would be forgery. I say it's not. Whose right ?

Anytime you sign someone's else's name (esp. on a legal document) it's forgery. What you could have done was give the buyer limited power of attorney. That could be more bothersome than the buyer simply returning to get the correct signatures.
