is this legal in indiana?


ok, i got asked out by a girl recently, she is 15, i just turned 18, is this legal in the state of indiana, a 18 yr old dating a 15. i told her i would think about it because of age differences, and i want to make sure im not going to get introuble for it. so please let me know.

As long as her parents are OK with you dating, you can date. You cannot have any sexual contact however until she reaches the age of consent in Indiana.

what is the age of consent because i was reading it, and it was changing from age 14 to age 16 and back and forth for various reasons. and trying to comprehend it is a little confusing.

Indiana's age of consent is 16.

However, dating doesn't mean having sex. Maybe just actually date first...? There's no rush.

yes i know this but if we started dating, i wouldnt really want to wait 3 years or so. plus i talked to her today, and i told her that we should just remain friends.

Wise move. If you really want to date, I imagine there are plenty of single women 18 years and older who might be amenable to that idea. Even in Indiana.

well im in my last year of highschool, and alot of the girl there are either taken or are "hookerish" if you know what i mean. so its hard to find them where im at. but im going to take my time.
