Louisiana forgery statute of limitations

my husband's ex forged his grandfather's signature on some checks, one for $395 and one for $244. his grandfather has been dead for 10 yrs and was dead when the checks were forged three years ago. we would like to press charges against her as we recently found out about these checks. does anyone know the statute of limitations for pressing charges in the state of louisiana?

Call the DA's office and ask. Do it soon, because if I was going to hazard a guess, I would say 3 or 5 years.
