What is the name of your state? oregon my daughter was 17 and the guy was 24or 26 they had sex which resulted in child,she didnt press charges,it has been 8 years is the statue of limitation past,she had always been afraid to turn him in

It's too late, the statute of limitations has passed. See OR ST § 131.125. I can't be sure it was a crime in the first place without researching the question, but since it is too late, it doesn't matter.
