In the state of Minnesota, What is the possibility of having a misdemeanor shoplifting charge not appearing on the person's record? My legal age daughter made a bad decision. This is the first illegal act she has done, there is not a speeding ticket, nothing at all on her record. The case will appear in court in October. I will retain a attorney for her.
Thank You.

Her attorney will be able to answer those questions, often when the offense is minor and an otherwise clean record, there may be offers of deferred sentencing with requirements such as some sort of a "Program" community service, fines etc.

I may not totally disappear and will be available to law enforcement etc
