what usually happens when a person steals more than 50,000 from their employer?

a friend confessed to taking the money and is turning in all of the items purchased w/it. the person has a small child and no history of crimimal activity. What could happen

She will have to make restitution, for the full amount, and ho knows maybe jail time and hopefully she will have her kid taken away from her....

Why should the kid have to put up with a criminal mommy?

You dont steal money and you dont steal stuff through the front door......you go out the back door and take stuff they wont find for months or you take stuff when someone is fired and blame it on them.
