Is it legal to put up a 30 second clip of a movie on an internet site?

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

Could be copyright infringement.

Your best bet -- get a license from the movie producer. If you are using it for a class project or something small and the clip is relatively short, you may be able to get the license in gratis (free).
