What is the name of your state? Washington
I was in court with someone not to long ago that confessed in court to having intimate knowledge of a murder and the judge didn't blink an eye. Qeustion: Didn't Washington pass a law not to long ago because of some kids death making such knowledge a crime? And did the judge create a foul by letting it slide?
Thanks

The judge doesn't file charges, the DA does. So if such knowledge is a crime, the question would be best asked of the DA and not about the judge.

And how would it be "a foul" by the judge? Unlike television, judges don't usually stand up on the bench and tell the bailiffs to arrest someone from the bench when they confess to a criminal act under cross examination. And a crime committed by a witness does nothing to absolve the defendant of said crime unless the act (or knowledge) could only have been performed by one person.
