A few months ago we leased a mare to some people we thought were our friends, we are in TX and they are in Arkansas, they called and told us they dont want to do this now and want to charge us an ungodly amount of money, we told them we would pay for feed and hauling back but that is not good enough and said until we pay what they want they are not releasing the mare, we never signed anything saying we would do this, we just took their word, we have the papers of ownership, can they do this legally?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
