I got arrested on saturday night after consuming large amounts of alcohol

i have no recollection of the events after i got picked up from my parents

i went crazy and didnt recognize them when we got home i bit my dad

and verbally abuse him (i dont remember any of this) i wake up in the montebello police department detox room and i have this notice to appear in 30 days from now and when i got home after apologizing to my parents for my actions i talked to them and my dad says
he told the police officers he wont be pressing charges

im wondering what should i do

what should i expect

i dont remember anything that happened on that night im 19 and im clueless on what to do. any help would be greatly appreciatedWhat is the name of your state?

The Salvation Army has a 6 month rehab program.
It's a live-in program; the first 30 days are 'lock-down'.
During the remaining period, people are expected to help around the rehab and get a job.

Their rehab rate is great, and it is FREE.

Most Judges in your area are familiar with the program.
They may defer (just keep continuing) any punishment until you complete the program, then dismiss charges when you 'graduate'.
Try to get a PD/def atty who will float this suggestion to the Prosecutor.

the thing is that on the notice to appear is on pc 242

but ive only been cited on pc 242

because my dad wouldnt press charges

and im going to start attending AA meetings
as well..
