What is the name of your state? New Mexico. We live in a rural area of northern NM and have what would be considered a junkyard. It is not a commercial property where people come and go buying and selling- rather, we just have a whole lot of accumulated stuff, including about 20 old cars, trucks, and a bus, mostly being used just to store stuff inside them. They are not valuable per-se. The land we have is quite inexpensive as well, but it is home.

The adjacent lot was aquired some few years ago and the owner towed an extremely large, beat-up, worthless, single-wide onto it. Since then, it has been itinerately been used as a crack den and flop house by undocumented immigrants. The main itinerate residents of this squalor have 3 unruly kids that were seen by another neighbor to have taken sticks and pipes from our yard and smashed almost all of the windows on all of our cars trucks, and bus. They also smashed all the windows we have collected up to build with.

We're not sure if the sometimes residents are the owners or if they just stay there. We filed a police report when this happened about two years ago, but didn't know at the time that another other neighbor saw what had happened, and were told by polce that no action could be taken w/out witnesses.

In light of the witness comming forward, what can be done for renumeration? Replacement cost for all that window glass would far exceed the meager assessments of value for the singlewide and land. We would be glad to settle for such an exchange and rid the neighborhood of such perps, but are unsure of how to proceed and whether there is an issue of the culprits being the owners or not. Please help with our petty peyton place problems.

Thanks much, Vector
