feel like a fool for being the victim, but that's the way it is. phone scam, claiming to provide work in adult films, but turns out to be just a scam. (insert laughter here) number is 1-866-850-7090, allegedly rings to newark, nj. sent money, got runaround, hung up on, get-back-to-you, send more money, etc. what agencies should/can this be reported to? who has jurisdiction? how can a person find out where this number really rings to? the ad was found in a local newspaper. are they legally allowed to divulge the identity of the person placing the ad? who can i alert in order to stop this person from scamming anyone else? thanks for any advice!
