My boyfriend has been on probation for the past 3 yrs. and hasn't had any trouble. A few days ago he got arrested for fighting. He saw the judge the next day and the judge set bail, I came up with the bail and was about to help him out and release him when they realized he violated his probation and put him on lockdown. I was unable to release him. Also, I have been unable to speak to him. This happening on a friday, the officer told me he was on lockdown all weekend until Mon. How unfair!!
My question is this....where do I go from here? Is it really legal to keep someone in lockdown over this, and basically any advice about this is appreciated. This is happening in New Mexico.
