My boyfried was release from prison 6-23-00, and violated mid July for cocaine possession, it was not actual crack, but cocaine resado. He does and have always had a drug problem, and suffuers from depression and prison was suppose to be the solution for the drug problem. How can we get the parole committee to realize that he needs extensive drug treatment and not a return to prison, where he would have to serve the remainding 4 year sentence? What options does he have besides prison. His lawyer said that it is hard to win a parole hearing, do the parole committee not listen to anything that contributed to his depression and drug usage?
