How hard will cops search for a stolen item that is sold at a pawn shop out of town? It was cleared when the pawn shop bought it, but will later be reported stolen. If my I.D. was stolen as well and used to pawn it off, what will the cops do?

It depends on the item. If your ID was used to pawn the item you will likely be questioned and investigated for stealing and pawning the item.
