I live in Florida I was charged with petti theft , I was given a Notice to appear. Dose the cop have to read your rights whene they give a notice to appear?

Nope. The cop does NOT have to read your rights when you are given a notice to appear.

This is my first offence, What should I expect to happen in court? It was shoplifting The total was around $25.00 Can I get jail time? Also any tips on how to talk to the judge?
