What is the name of your state? Alabama

My wife and I have received over 15 calls in the last two days from her former boyfriend. he threatens to have us put in jail, to take our child away, to file false alegations against us and even name calling. He also claims (we have reason to believe him) that he is recording all calls going both ways. There is no beep tone. This goes on for a few days every month or so.

1. Is this enough to be considered harrasment?

2. Isn't it illegal to record the calls? Who should we notify if so?
