    please help need advice

What is the name of your state? va
My son 15, was playing around in gym class with another kid, the kid got bruised and the dad wants something done. the school investigated with police and decided there was nothing to it just rough housing by 2 boys, now the dad has taken a complaint out for assalt and battery against my son. we went to the arrainment and thought we were appointed an attorney, when i call the attorney he never calls back and court is on wed, the 11th. i am starting to think i have misunderstood and had to get my own attorney for him, even though this attorney was mentioned by name, now what can i do? go without one? My son is on probation for joyriding in my car and wrecking it, no license. any advice ?

    1. contact a new attorney
    2. have new attorney contact court
    3. beat the crap out of your son with a belt

    in that order.
True knowledge can only be acquired through pain.

not following you there,, I have failed to get an attorney for my sons assalt and battery case. It was investigated by the school and dismissed. The father of the other boy decided to press charges. My son is on probation for something else. I was worried about that fact and a new charge and no attorney,,,,,,

That is twice that you mentioned the 'investigation' by the school and its 'dismissal'. Actually, that has absolutely NOTHING to do with this case.... and it is not an indicator of its outcome.

Simply, the schools process was administrative to see if any school rules or policies were violated. Apparently, they weren't. However, that does NOT mean that the statutory laws were not violated.

Get your son an attorney... NOW!
There are at least 17 lawsuits (!!) filed in various courts, including the US Supreme Court, asking if Obama is a natural born citizen (as req'd by Art II, Sec 1 of the US Constitution).

Why has he spent over $1.7M in legal fees to block disclosure... rather than spend $12 for a VALID birth cert to settle the matter? The 'certificate' he has presented doesn't qualify to get a drivers license, wouldn't allow a child to qualify for Little League, or for a real citizen to get a US passport!

The problem is that court is wednesday and I have no extra money to hire an attorney at this time. Work is always slow in the winter, how would I help him defend himself?
The reason I mentioned the school is that it was in gym with the teacher there, my son had the other kids shirt and was pulling on it and let it go, he fell to the ground, got up laughing and they continued their game of bball. There is a police officer assigned to the school and his report shows nothing,
my kid really dosen't need any more trouble right now, I will call around tommorow to see if I can find someone somewhere willing to work with me.
This kids dad thinks my son is getting special treatment because he is a football star at that school.

then go beat the crap out of the other kid's father.

Geeez is it so hard to figure you that you need to either get your son an attorney or call the court and ask if INDEED an attorney has been appointed to his case?

no its not hard to figure!!! Thats the whole point of my post, that I may be all he has defending him in that courtroom and was asking for any advice . Doesn't matter though because the court told me this morning that the attorney I thought the court had assigned was indeed. He just wont answer my calls and I don't know how he can prepare a defence in 2 days. Thanks for your words of wisdom

If your son has you defending him he has a fool for an attorney.

Just to update,, court was wednesday and the prosecuter tried to make my son look like a bully and a poor sport. It was hard sitting there listening to him put such a twisted spin on what acctually happened. The judge found my son not guilty. Said it sounded like a boys gym class to him, and he heard no evidence that there was any intent to harm.
