What is the name of your state?
Texas After reading the following if you need any more details please let me know.

Case description: I was charged in a class c misdemeanor which I did
not commit in Texas. This happened at my place of employment in the
cafeteria. When I was questioned by the police I told my side of the
story they questioned me, ran my drivers license to see if I had any
type of criminal record which I did not. After they were done
questioning me and filling out the paper work they read my miranda
rights. They said befoe they left that I got off easy this time. The
next day the police called me in and read me my miranda rights and
questioned me again and gave me a citation and I am to appear in
court. I have never been in a situation like this before and want to
know what I can do? Also, are the cops suppose to read you your
miranda right before they question you. Thanks for your help and I
look forward to your response.
More details of case.

After walking out the cafeteria I was grabbed from behind with nothing being said to me which is why I ran. Soon after this occurred the campus police came to the area I work in and I was later told that it was reported that I had taken a coke from the cafeteria. I was never asked to stop after
leaving the cafeteria and if I had I would have been given the
chance to explain that I walked into the cafeteria with the coke and
cookies in my pocket. My intention to going into the cafeteria was
to buy a salad or something from the hot meal line to eat. I had
money in my wallet if I needed to buy something and would not steal
something.

"After walking out the cafeteria I was grabbed from behind which is
and I ran."

Again, why did you run?

Sorry for not being more clear. I was walking out the cafeteria and was grabbed from behind without anything being said to me which is why I ran.

you just ran? didn't stay to find out why you were being grabbed? didn't say anything to the person who grabbed you?

It does look suspicious.
