last weekend i went to my friends house with 3 other people. And he had a bottle of captain morgan and 5 beers he gave me 2 shots and i went on his computer and the police showed up for a noise complaint and gave everyone a breathalizer test and i blew a 0.02 i dont know how but i did and they gave us all possession tickets when my friend said it was all his and he just gave us a couple shots and that was it the police said talk to the judge. And courts in 1 week i was wondering if there was anyway of getting it deferred to a smaller charge for that. i need some advice please and thank you

Dress professionally in clean clothes.

Do not wear message shirts.

Don't chew gum, smoke, or eat.

Bathe and wash your hair.

Go to court beforehand some day before you actually have to go to watch how things go.

Speak politely and deferentially. If you argue or dispute something, do it professionally and without emotion.

Ask the court clerk who you talk to about a diversion (meaning you want to plead to a different, lesser charge), if applicable in your situation. Ask about traffic school and the ticket not go on your record, if applicable.
