possession of alcohol (wrong subgroup?)

Hello all. I am actually a Canadian who got a possession of alcohol charge when I was on spring break. How long will this stay on my record?
They also took fingerprints. Does anyone know if they are put into the police system and/or if they are shared/directed to Canada?
Any answers are appreciated.Thanks
