Posted Bond on Wrong Person

I posted bond for my daughter then boyfriend last november. i had to leave a signed check for $624 with the bond company in case he didn't show up for court. his court date has been continued every month. now it's going on 11 months. question one, how long can they hold this check? question two, how do i get off this bond?
