A few months ago, I was put on the pre-trial diversion program (like probation) for secure execution of document by deception (food stamp fraud) >$1,500 <$20,000. My attorney told me that this would be the best way to go because after a year of serving probation, it would not be on my record. I paid the restitution of $2500 and the diversion fee of $500 and have gone to 3 probation appts. After thumbing through the dockets in my local newspaper last week, I found my name under the indictments! I thought that this was taken care of and am not sure what is going on. Any advice?
