I am a sex offender on probation for a crime committed when I was 18 yo. I have served 5 years in prison and now going on 8 years probation. I have never had a single violation. I now have a new PO who is making my life difficult. He now wants to restrict my internet access even though my sentencing says im allowed internet. Citing "porn" as the reason. I do not look at porn, and told him he can monitor all of my equipment. They only have the ability to monitor my PC so hes forcing me to surrender my tablet and cell phone. Hes taking it a step further and says he has a right to seize my wife's equipment if she does not allow them to flip through it occasionally. He also threatened to remove me from the home.

How legal is this? Is there nothing I can do? I have not broken any laws since and now have 2 kids, I thought I had earned my way through all the threats and intimidation. It seems no matter what Ill always be susceptible to these abuses now. Any advice would help I have money for a lawyer. I'm a low risk according to them if that helps. I know im an SO and the scumbag of society, but surely threatening to seize my wife's stuff and/or force me out of the house considering I have been compliant is crossing a line?
