friend arested on xanax charge in florida and given probation for one year with a 6 month pay out option, 16 days into her probation she was asked to give a urine sample,it came back positive for weed and they gave her a violation , now does'nt it take more than 16 days for the average human system to get rid of thc? they did not even give her a chance to prove she was living a clean lifestyle , this does not seem fair or right , what can she do to prove she had not messed with drugs since the start of her probation??? oh ...she past the second urine test before she even knew she was getting a violation, that proves she is clean ??

Unless her consumption of marijuana had been extremely heavy and consistent (5 joints per day for a month or longer) it takes the average smoker 7 - 14 days to clear THC. If she had not smoked marijuana in 16 days and tested positive, she was a very heavy smoker and had been smoking heavily for a long time with no cessation. In some cases, it takes the body upwards of a month to clear THC. There have been cases where it took the user 45 - 60 days to clear the body of THC. These users were obese and heavy smokers. What second test are you talking about?

That's almost a month since she last tested positive, so she should test negative for THC from now on. If she smokes any she won't be clean for another week or two afterwards. It won't matter what she drinks or takes to attempt to get it out of her system, she will be 99.9% likely to test positive if she smokes pot again. With her Xanax charge, if she gets busted again on a urine, they'll revoke her. (And they'll be testing her quite frequently.)

well her testing positive again is not going to happen, she is extremely serious about doing her probation the right way, she started her probation on nov. 5 and has not touched any subtances from the start of her probation but she is still in violation? that's just not right , she may have violated the law to get probation but she has not violated her probation........anyway thanks for your info.
