What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Tn

In a Protection Order case against me. The defendent swore under oath that I was at a certain place at a certain time, which was a total lie. I have a credible witness who can verify where I was at that time, Which was in a different state, Can the person (defendent) be charged for purgery?

not sure but they could be charged with perjury. Will they be? Can't say I've seem too many perjury charges. Often times, the judge simply uses that to determine the veracity of any other statements by that person or any others that would have known and said nothing about the lie.
