What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Califronia

In 1999 I was convicted of petty theft. The item I stole was about $35 and it was my first offence. I ended up only having to pay a fine of $250. I no longer have any of the paper work from my trial. I was wondering if by the information I have given, if you could determine if this was charged as a misdemeanor or an infraction.
