I have a situation where 2 detectives arrived on my doorstep one evening and proceeded to question my 15 & 16yr old daughters regarding a sensitive topic. I wanted to know is it legal in the state of Florida for detectives to question minors without parental knowledge, consent or presence? These children are innocent of any crime. They interrogated them as to the whereabouts of a relative with a past record whom ,they informed the children, is not in trouble but ........And to add to my disgust the detectives did not leave a card or even a name and number!! Obviously a very difficult situation.
