Jacksonville Florida,
I left from work drving my car and on the way home was confronted on the roadway by two other vehicles that appeared to be traveling together. They were swerving at me and riding really close to my bumper honking their horns and jumping their cars forward racing their engines obviously trying to race me. I had just got off from a double shift working (no lie) 26hrs straight and was fighting to remain awake. When we approached a traffic light I reve'd my engine to convince them I was going to race and just like that they tore off racing each other. I laughed as I saw them race off and saw the cop off to the other side of the road they had just sped past. They both raced off in different directions as he made his way off to pursue. I continued on thinking nothing of it but what I did not know is when he went down about a 1/4 of a mile to turn around and come back in the direction we were in, he did not attempt to chase the two vehicles that were racing off in different directions at break neck speeds, he chose to chase me down. I never sped, I never raced, I was simply near two cars that raced and I just happed to be driving a 94' celica which looks sporty I was told I was racing I tried to explain but he did not buy it. I pled not guilty and was told they are not seeking jail time but I am not going to just take this charge, what can I do other than tell my story?
