What is the name of your state? California.

If someone makes a telephone call to report a convicted criminal’s violation of a probationary term, and it was the truth, is it the legal practice or how the probation officers handle things, to tell the criminal the telephone number of the person who made the report? Is or isn't that information (phone number or identity of caller) supposed to be confidential?
