What is the name of your state? New Jersey
Someone has loaned my wife money with a written and signed
aggrement. This was done without my knowledge or consent.
Am I legally bound in any way to this agreement?
Is the person giving the loan in any way legally responsible to
inform me that a loan agreement exists between them and my wife?

Your wife is an adult, isn't she? Why should you be notified of a loan that's made to her?

I'm not an attorney, but it seems to me that unless your name is on the loan agreement, you are not liable for it. And if your name was on it, you would have had to sign.

WGI, given the posts you've made here, maybe you need to have a nice long talk with your wife. It sounds like there's more going on here than her just playing around with finances.

But I'm not a professional anything... so all I can do is wish you the best, not offer legal advice.

My ex-wife used to do that sort of thing to me. She's now my ex-wife.

If you have a community-property state, then all debts and obligations could also be yours.

This does require a lawyer, you know.
